Videolina Sheds Light on the Archaeological Area of S'Acqua Salida in Pimentel
The Sardinian broadcaster highlights the neglect of this ancient site and renews the call for its protection.
The archaeological area of S’Acqua Salida, located in the territory of Pimentel, is an ancient site of extraordinary historical value that today lies in a state of serious neglect. This is the subject of a recent report by Videolina, which highlights the contrast between the site’s millennia-old significance and the complete lack of preservation efforts.
Far from the usual tourist routes, the site receives no proper care: no supervision, no maintenance, no protection. Visitors describe it as a striking and moving discovery—but also a deeply disheartening one: “Anyone can come and do whatever they want… it’s been like this for years.”
Bringing public attention to the issue is the Centro Studi Identità e Memoria, which has launched a petition on Change.org to safeguard Sardinia’s archaeological heritage. The petition has already gathered more than 5,000 signatures. The goal is clear: to prevent 6,000 years of history from continuing to decay in silence.
