The domus de janas on the Unesco tentative list

Tiscali Environment has published an article announcing the inclusion of the domus de janas in the national tentative list for recognition as a World Heritage Site by Unesco. These ancient prehistoric burial sites in Sardinia, along with dolmens, menhirs, and villages, have been proposed for the prestigious recognition thanks to the favorable opinion of the Ministry of Culture and the Italian National Unesco Commission. The nomination process was carried out by the Center for Identity and Memory Studies in collaboration with 63 Sardinian municipalities, as illustrated by the scholar Giuseppa Tanda. The article also highlights the importance of these sites for the preservation and enhancement of Sardinian culture.
