Sinnos: Journey into Prehistoric Sardinia in Sassari
The website shmag.it features the photographic exhibition "Sinnos", organized in Sassari to support the UNESCO candidacy of the Domus de Janas, focused on pre-Nuragic populations and curated by Toto Porcu with the support of CeSIM.
Shmag.it reports on the opening of the photographic exhibition “Sinnos - Art in the rituals of the pre-Nuragic people”, set up in Sassari in the spaces of the Liceo Margherita di Castelvì, in support of the nomination of the Domus de Janas as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Promoted by CeSIM in collaboration with the high school, the exhibition offers a visual journey through prehistoric Sardinia, from the domus de janas to the menhirs, with shots taken by Toto Porcu. The initiative, also supported by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, is an opportunity to reflect on the deep identity of the people who populated the island between 6000 and 1800 BC and on the cultural relevance of the Sardinian pre-Nuragic heritage.
