House of the Fairies: towards UNESCO Heritage

Tiscali.it announces that the National Unesco Commission has officially accepted the nomination of the Domus de Janas as a serial site to be inscribed on the World Heritage list. An important result for the promoting committee led by CESIM, with the support of the Sardinia Region and 37 Sardinian municipalities coordinated by Alghero. The proposal concerns 26 representative monuments from the Middle Neolithic and Copper Age, focusing on hypogeism and megalithism phenomena that assume unique forms in Sardinia. The dossier is now under examination by international advisory bodies in Paris, with a decision expected by 2025.
