The Republic has reported the official candidacy of the Domus de Janas for UNESCO World Heritage status, describing it as a decisive turning point for the valorization of Sardinia’s prehistoric roots.

The article retraces the steps of the long candidacy process that began in 2018, involving over 60 municipalities, CESIM, the Ministry of Culture, and several universities and experts. The recognition, expected by July 2025, could transform the island’s image in the international cultural tourism landscape, bringing to light the invaluable historical value of monuments like Monte d’Accoddi, Monte Baranta, and the workshops of Pau.
