Domus de Janas: Towards UNESCO Heritage, Sardinia in the Race

Sardegnalive.net has reported on the progress in the nomination of the Domus de Janas for recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The article describes the commitment of over a hundred Sardinian municipalities, coordinated by the Network of Municipalities of the Domus de Janas and the CESIM association, in promoting the archaeological and cultural value of the island’s prehistoric art and architecture.
In addition to the pre-Nuragic tombs, the project also includes significant monuments such as Monte Baranta, Monte d’Accoddi, and the lithic workshops of Pau. The final decision from UNESCO is expected by July 2025.
